“The population census is being conducted in Kirkuk, an ancient Turkish homeland.

In this regard, we believe it is essential to avoid any attempts that could distort Kirkuk’s demographic structure or harm its Turkish identity.

The warnings of the Kirkuk Turks on this matter must be heeded.

This is the first comprehensive population census in Iraq in 37 years, covering the provinces under the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and lasting two days.

The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) is a Turkish governmental institution that aims to strengthen ties with the Turkish diaspora, kin communities, and international students.
