Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will be in Kazan from October 23 to 24 to participate in the BRICS Summit, following an invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin. President Mirziyoyev is scheduled to deliver a speech at the plenary session in the “BRICS Plus” format under Russia’s chairmanship.

The agenda will focus on expanding international cooperation to ensure inclusive and sustainable development, as well as discussing current global political issues. Several bilateral meetings are also planned during the visit.

BRICS was founded in 2006, and its current members include Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, the UAE, Iran, Egypt, and Ethiopia.
