Istanbul, Turkey – At the third Turkey-Uzbekistan Education Forum held in Istanbul, a series of cooperation agreements were signed between Andijan State University and multiple Turkish higher education institutions. The agreements aim to enhance academic collaboration and foster stronger ties between the two countries’ educational sectors.

Baxtiyorjon Akbaraliyev, Rector of Andijan State University, led the Uzbek delegation and held discussions with the rectors of Ege University and Marmara University, Necdet Budak and Mustafa Kurt, respectively. The talks focused on establishing bilateral partnerships, with both sides exploring various avenues for collaboration in research, academic exchange, and education.

During the forum, Akbaraliyev also met with the Rector of Isparta University, Yilmaz Chatal, to negotiate further cooperation. Key outcomes of these discussions included agreements to launch joint education projects, facilitate academic exchanges for faculty and students, and organize joint research conferences and initiatives.

The newly signed memorandums of understanding signal a commitment to collaborative educational efforts, academic mobility, and mutual support in improving teaching and research standards.

The partnerships are expected to accelerate the integration of international standards into Uzbekistan’s higher education system, while also promoting knowledge exchange and skill development in both countries.
