Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Turkmenistan’s Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov in Ashgabat. The meeting focused on enhancing the strategic partnership between the two neighboring countries.

According to Saidov’s statement on his Telegram channel, discussions covered a broad spectrum of bilateral and multilateral cooperation. The ministers placed special emphasis on expanding economic ties, developing transportation corridors, and strengthening cultural and humanitarian relations.

The two diplomats also explored new opportunities for cooperation in energy, agriculture, and water resource management. They reaffirmed their commitment to boosting trade, establishing joint ventures, and supporting infrastructure development.

Furthermore, the parties agreed to continue high-level political dialogue and enhance cooperation within international organizations such as the United Nations, CIS, and SCO. Regional security issues and joint efforts to address transnational challenges were also discussed.

This meeting marks a significant step in deepening Uzbek-Turkmen relations, fostering mutual trust, and advancing collaborative projects in key sectors.
