United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has sent an official invitation letter to President Ersin Tatar for an informal Cyprus meeting in Geneva.
Speaking to TAK news agency, President Tatar confirmed that he received the invitation on Monday afternoon. He shared details from the letter, stating:
“Mr. Guterres, in his invitation, provided confirmed details about the program, stating that the informal meeting will commence with a dinner on the evening of March 17, followed by bilateral talks on the morning of March 18. The broader session will take place at the UN headquarters in Geneva in the afternoon.”
Tatar also noted that the Secretary-General had previously confirmed these details with the concerned parties before sending the invitation. Additionally, he mentioned that the UN will share a finalized version of the program once all arrangements are set.
