Today, Ashgabat hosted the opening of the 17th International Exhibition and Scientific Conference on Telecommunications, Telemetry, Information Technology, and Broadcasting Equipment, “Türkmentel 2024.” This annual forum serves as a prominent platform to showcase innovations in high-tech fields, facilitate knowledge exchange, and promote collaboration in the ICT sector.
The event gathers over 200 companies from more than 30 countries, including global tech leaders like Huawei, Nokia, SpaceX, and Samsung. Attendees include representatives from international organizations, industry experts, and government officials. The forum also features digital displays of advanced telecommunications technologies and innovative solutions for fostering digital transformation.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the participants, emphasizing Turkmenistan’s strategic role as a digital and communications hub in Central Asia. The forum highlights Turkmenistan’s commitment to advancing the “Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy (2019–2025)” by implementing cutting-edge technologies across various sectors.
The exhibition showcases cutting-edge telecommunications and IT products from global companies, as well as achievements by Turkmen enterprises in cybersecurity, digital services, and telecommunications infrastructure. The smart city of Arkadag, a model for digital innovation in the region, is a key highlight.
Tomorrow, specialized sessions will focus on themes such as “Future Communication Limits” and “Satellite Technology for Economic Sustainability.” The event will conclude with the final stage of the “Digital Solution 2024” competition, aimed at supporting young innovators.
