Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan are working towards enhancing cooperation in the transportation sector by discussing the development of transit corridors and signing a trilateral Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Authorized Economic Operators (AEO). This topic was the main focus of the meeting between the Chairman of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and Igor Runov, Executive Secretary of the International Center for Transport Diplomacy.

The meeting took place during I. Runov’s official visit to Ashgabat, where he participated in an international conference on sustainable transport and ministerial-level events.

The Turkmen side shared updates on the phased implementation of the AEO program in the country and expressed readiness to study the proposed project. The initiative aims to foster the development of regional transit corridors, boosting economic ties among the participating nations.
