The Turkmenistan delegation, headed by Deputy Foreign Minister A. Gurbanov, attended a high-level ministerial session in Kuwait focused on enhancing international cooperation against terrorism and reinforcing border security. The session highlighted multilateral approaches and the importance of coordinated global efforts under the UN’s leadership. In his speech, A. Gurbanov emphasized Turkmenistan’s role in combating threats to peace and security at both national and international levels, particularly through collaboration with the UN. During a parallel event on protecting critical energy infrastructure, the Turkmen delegation underscored Turkmenistan’s active involvement in developing practical measures for security. The UN Counter-Terrorism Office (UNOCT) Deputy Secretary-General V. Voronkov expressed gratitude to Turkmenistan for its cooperation and invited participants to a UNOCT event in Ashgabat. Additionally, officials from Turkmenistan and Kuwait exchanged views on the current state and future development of bilateral relations in various fields.
