On November 25, 2024, Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with U.S. Senator Steve Daines from Montana at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The meeting addressed key aspects of Turkmen-American relations, including political-diplomatic collaboration, economic ties, and cultural partnerships. Both sides emphasized the importance of regular political consultations between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and the United States.

The effectiveness of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council was highlighted, with the next meeting scheduled for December 2024. Discussions also explored new avenues of collaboration, such as the financial-banking sector, alongside major energy projects initiated by Turkmenistan in cooperation with neighboring countries.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral relations at all levels.
