Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the nation on the Turkmen Alabay Festival, celebrated this year as part of the “Treasury of Wisdom: Year of Magtymguly Pyragy.” In his message, he highlighted the historical and cultural value of the alabay, an ancient breed that has become a source of national pride for Turkmenistan.

President Berdimuhamedov commended the efforts of alabay breeders in preserving the breed’s purity and promoting the Turkmen alabay’s reputation globally. He noted the establishment of the International Association of “Türkmen alabaý itleri” and the opening of breeding centers across Turkmenistan, which facilitate international cooperation and allow for global-standard competitions. “The Turkmen alabay is a symbol of our nation’s pride and culture,” he said, extending his best wishes to breeders for health, success, and prosperity in their noble work.
