In a televised interview, Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz emphasized that Türkiye continues to support a two-state solution in Cyprus, reaffirming Ankara’s commitment to a settlement that respects the rights of both Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots.
“We support a two-state solution,” Yılmaz stated, adding that such a resolution would contribute to long-term peace and security on the island.
He also reiterated that full membership in the European Union remains a strategic goal for Turkey.
