The historic Turkic World Photographers Conference was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, hosted by the Journalism Faculty of Al-Farabi University. The event aimed to strengthen professional collaboration in photography, visually promote cultural heritage, and preserve shared values among Turkic states.

TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev, in his opening speech, emphasized, “Showcasing the culture and arts of the Turkic World through photography is a vital need of our time. The newly established Turkic World Photographers Union will serve as a crucial platform for this mission.”

Photographers, journalists, and representatives from Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan participated, alongside Nikon experts and renowned photojournalists. Young talents such as Erkin Bolcurov and Dilar Najafov also shared their perspectives online.

Proposals included organizing joint exhibitions, conducting ethnographic explorations, and producing photo albums reflecting the Turkic World’s lifestyle and traditions. These initiatives aim to strengthen solidarity among Turkic nations and promote common ideals.

The conference concluded with a group photo session, marking a significant step in showcasing the unity and shared heritage of the Turkic World.
