The Turkic Ski Cup 2025 was held at Uzbekistan’s famous Amirsoy ski resort, making history as the inaugural ski competition among Turkic states. Organized by the Mountain Resorts Union of the Turkic States and supported by the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), the tournament sought to strengthen sports ties among Turkic-speaking nations and promote skiing throughout the region.

More than 50 skiers, competing across various age categories, took part in the event. Notable attendees included OTS Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Deputy Secretary General Mirvohid Azimov, and Orkhan Badalov, Secretary General of the Turkish Skiers’ Union, alongside representatives from leading ski resorts such as Uludag, Shahdag, and Shymbulak from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.

In the competition, amateur skiers showcased their skills with Jeyhun Balametov from Azerbaijan clinching the gold medal and Famil Valimotov taking bronze. Winners were honored with trophies and medals for their outstanding achievements.

In addition to the sporting highlights, the event underscored the commitment of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, established in 2012, to preserve and promote Turkic heritage. Working in collaboration with TURKSOY and the Turkic Academy, the foundation supports various projects and programs designed to protect, study, and celebrate the cultural legacy of Turkic nations.
