During the event “Turkic Investment Fund and the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkic Countries: Information Meeting and B2B for Business Leaders,” President of the Turkic Investment Fund, Baghdad Amreyev, announced that the Turkic world stands on the brink of a large-scale economic transformation. He noted that, 15 years after the establishment of the Organization of Turkic States, unity among Turkic nations has significantly deepened, with ties growing stronger and business circles collaborating more closely than ever.
“The Turkic world is becoming a strategic economic corridor,” Amreyev remarked, adding that all political, intergovernmental, and institutional efforts are converging on the goal of integrating the Turkic world. This integration, he explained, is not solely based on economic factors—it also embraces cultural, historical, and political cooperation. “Governments and institutions may set the framework, but it is the business community that truly drives these initiatives forward,” he emphasized.
Amreyev outlined five main directions for advancing economic cooperation in the Turkic world:
• Eliminating barriers to trade and investment
• Strengthening transportation and energy links
• Expanding regional supply chains
• Promoting innovation and digital transformation
• Enhancing financial cooperation and developing joint financing mechanisms
He concluded that these measures mark the beginning of a journey that will ultimately shape the destiny of the Turkic world.
