Baghdad Amreyev, President of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF), along with TIF’s Chief Financial Officer, Betül Sarikaya, met with Aliya Moldabekova, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, in Astana. The meeting, also attended by senior officials from Kazakhstan’s central bank, followed up on discussions between Amreyev and Timur Suleimenov, Governor of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, in Washington, D.C. on October 23.
During the meeting, both sides discussed concrete ways to cooperate, with a focus on building partnerships and exploring joint projects. Amreyev highlighted TIF’s interest in working with the National Bank to strengthen financial ties across the Turkic world.
Moldabekova showed strong support for TIF’s initiatives and discussed potential areas for collaboration. She emphasized the role both organizations could play in boosting economic growth and financial stability in the region.
In addition, Betül Sarikaya had a productive round of talks with senior officials from Kazakhstan’s central bank. The discussions revolved around fintech solutions to facilitate cross-border payments and promote e-commerce between Turkic countries, as well as developing specialized financial literacy programs.
