From January to October 2024, trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan amounted to $675.6 million, with $444.8 million in exports from Uzbekistan and $230.8 million in imports from Kyrgyzstan. These figures were reported by Uzbekistan’s State Statistics Agency under the President.
In comparison, the trade volume for the same period in 2023 stood at $814.1 million. Uzbekistan’s exports fell from $566.5 million to $444.8 million, while imports from Kyrgyzstan decreased from $247.6 million to $230.8 million.
Uzbekistan’s overall foreign trade turnover for January-October 2024 reached $54.4 billion, a $3.4 billion or 6.7% increase compared to 2023. Exports rose by 9.6% to $22.4 billion, and imports grew by 4.7% to $31.9 billion, leaving a trade deficit of $9.48 billion.
Currently, Uzbekistan maintains trade relations with 194 countries. Its largest trading partners are China (18.8%), Russia (17.8%), Kazakhstan (6.3%), Turkey (4.5%), and South Korea (3.0%).
