The 1st Turkic States Sports Volunteers Forum took place on March 5, 2025, in Gabala, Azerbaijan, with the participation of delegations from the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Member States.

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Youth and Sports, H.E. Farid Gayibov, and Sadi Jafarov, Deputy Secretary General of the OTS, delivered the opening speeches.

Speaking on behalf of the OTS Secretariat, Deputy Secretary General Sadi Jafarov expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijani government for hosting the inaugural event and extended congratulations on the occasion of Azerbaijan’s Day of Physical Culture and Sports.

In his remarks, Jafarov emphasized that the forum provided a platform for sports volunteers from Turkic states to engage in panel discussions, knowledge exchange, and various interactive activities. The forum aimed to foster collaboration, share experiences, and promote the role of volunteers in sports development across the Turkic world.

The event marked a significant milestone in strengthening cooperation among sports communities of OTS member states, reinforcing the commitment to youth and sports development in the region.
