In Moscow, expanded planned consultations were held between the security councils of Kazakhstan and Russia. According to Kazinform, the talks were chaired by the Secretary of the Security Council of Kazakhstan, Gizat Nurdauletov, and the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Sergey Shoigu.
During the talks, current issues of cooperation were discussed, including the exchange of views on regional security, countering international terrorism and extremism, and the situation in the Caspian region.
Consultations between the security councils are held regularly as part of the Cooperation Plan between the two countries. A new cooperation plan for 2025-2027 was signed following the event.
