The 43rd meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s (SCO) Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS) was held in Tashkent under the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan. Delegates from Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan participated, alongside the SCO Secretary-General as an honorary guest.

The meeting focused on reviewing the SCO’s counter-terrorism efforts in 2024 and approving the 2026-2030 cooperation program to counter extremist ideologies. Joint measures to prevent the use of the internet for terrorist, separatist, and extremist purposes were also agreed upon.

Additionally, it was decided to hold a meeting of border security officials in Kyrgyzstan and conduct joint counter-terrorism exercises in Belarus. The SCO’s efforts received positive feedback, and several officials were honored with certificates of recognition for their contributions to counter-terrorism efforts.
