Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has arrived in Astana to hold talks with Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu, reports Kazinform, citing TASS. Lavrov’s two-day working visit, set for November 6–7, includes meetings with Nurtleu as well as with faculty and students from a university in Astana.

According to Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, the talks will address preparations for the Russian president’s state visit to Kazakhstan, bilateral cooperation, and international issues of mutual interest. Discussions will also cover cooperation within integration frameworks such as the EAEU, CSTO, CIS, and SCO.
