On October 24, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov spoke at the first plenary session of the expanded BRICS+ Summit in Kazan. In his address, Japarov emphasized Kyrgyzstan’s alignment with BRICS goals, including promoting entrepreneurship, digital and green technologies, and addressing climate challenges. He noted that these principles align with the Sustainable Development Goals integrated into Kyrgyzstan’s National Development Strategy through 2040.

Japarov also highlighted Kyrgyzstan’s initiative, the “Five Years of Action for Mountain Regions Development” (2023-2027), adopted by the UN General Assembly, as well as a new global dialogue on mountains and climate change. He expressed Kyrgyzstan’s support for a fair international economic order and improved access to global economic benefits. Additionally, Japarov showed interest in cooperating with the New Development Bank, especially for financing infrastructure and sustainable development projects across BRICS countries and other developing nations.

In closing, Japarov confirmed Kyrgyzstan’s readiness to share its expertise in digitalization, sustainable development, and the transition to a “green economy,” as well as contribute to collective efforts aimed at enhancing friendship and partnership within the BRICS framework.
