On February 18, after returning from Kuwait, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Binali Yıldırım, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States and former Prime Minister of Turkey, in Tashkent.

Binali Yıldırım conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The meeting focused on enhancing multifaceted cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States.

Both sides emphasized the importance of increasing the role of the Council of Elders in coordinating cooperation and implementing initiatives adopted at OTS summits.

They also discussed upcoming events, including the Turkic World Urban Planning Congress, which involves the municipalities of Samarkand and Navoi.
