On February 7, 2024, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a Japanese delegation led by Akihisa Nagashima, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan.
During the meeting, both sides discussed strengthening the strategic partnership and expanding cooperation in economic, industrial, and social sectors. The delegation conveyed a personal letter and greetings from Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishibani, reaffirming Japan’s commitment to long-term collaboration with Uzbekistan.
