On February 26, 2025, a grand presentation of the book “Magtymguly – Thinker of the World” by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, took place at the Green Rivers Manor Cultural Center in Beijing. The event was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality and the International Year of Peace and Trust.

The event was attended by prominent diplomats, cultural experts, and academics, including the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to China, P. Durdyev, the Secretary General of the China Horse Breeding Association, Yue Gaofeng, and Vice-Rector of Ningxia University, Zhao Xiaojia. Turkmen students studying in Beijing also participated in the ceremony.

Speakers highlighted the significance of the book, emphasizing its role in promoting the philosophical and literary legacy of the great Turkmen poet and thinker, Magtymguly Pyragy. His works, filled with themes of peace, justice, and humanity, resonate strongly in the context of 2025 being declared the International Year of Peace and Trust.

A recital of Magtymguly’s renowned poem “The Future of Turkmenistan” in both Turkmen and Chinese by Turkmen students added a symbolic touch to the event. The ceremony concluded with the Turkmen Embassy presenting copies of the President’s book and translated collections of Magtymguly’s poems to Chinese scholars and students.
