Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus stated that Türkiye considers supporting the Palestinian cause a fundamental duty. After meeting with a delegation from the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds in Istanbul, led by President Hamid bin Abdullah al-Ahmar, Kurtulmus affirmed Türkiye’s commitment to the cause. “As Türkiye, we closely follow the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds and consider supporting the Palestinian cause as our duty,” he said on X.

Kurtulmus outlined key objectives for advancing the Palestinian cause. These include boosting global support for Palestine, reinforcing humanitarian efforts, achieving unity among Muslim countries, and working to internationally isolate Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s administration.

“We have a long struggle ahead,” he noted, adding confidently that “a free Palestinian state will definitely be established.”
