On 20–21 May 2025, the Informal Summit of the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) will take place in Budapest, Hungary — marking the first time such a high-level gathering is hosted by an Observer State.
Hungarian Prime Minister H.E. Viktor Orbán will welcome the Presidents of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan, alongside observer representatives and OTS Secretary General H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev.
The Summit, held under the theme “Meeting point of East and West,” will focus on enhancing cooperation across strategic sectors and discussing common responses to global and regional challenges. It reflects Hungary’s expanding engagement with the Turkic world and its commitment to deeper multilateral collaboration.
Prior to the Summit, the OTS Council of Foreign Ministers will meet to finalize the agenda and documents to be presented to the Heads of State.
The event is expected to conclude with the adoption of the Budapest Declaration, outlining shared priorities and reaffirming the Organization’s strategic trajectory.
