Minister of Labor and Social Security Sadık Gardiyanoğlu spoke on Gündem Kıbrıs Web TV, addressing the process of setting the minimum wage and the ministry’s goals for 2025. He stated that the Minimum Wage Determination Commission will convene after December inflation data is released to reassess the wage standards.

Gardiyanoğlu revealed that 14 sectors have been identified for differentiated minimum wage applications, adding that the proposal will be submitted to the Council of Ministers in the coming months. He also discussed significant advancements in social services, including the completion of barrier-free living facilities, the Sevgi Evi project, and ongoing efforts to establish an autism center.

Looking ahead to 2025, Gardiyanoğlu mentioned plans to consolidate the Ministry of Labor and its affiliated units under one roof in a new building, with groundwork expected to begin within the year.
