On November 1, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended a meeting in Navbahor, Navoi Region, to outline new initiatives for boosting the local economy, increasing incomes, and enhancing social infrastructure. Emphasizing the strategic importance of the region, he announced that 2025 would be marked as the “Year of Alisher Navoi” with supporting cultural projects.

At the meeting, it was highlighted that Navoi’s industrial production exceeds 100 trillion sums, encouraging new investments and business opportunities. In 2025, the region expects to attract $3.7 billion in foreign investments, leading to 15,000 new jobs. Infrastructure and energy projects, including solar and wind power plants, aim to support these economic advancements.
