The football federations of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan have officially submitted a joint bid to host the 2031 Asian Cup. This was announced by the Uzbekistan Football Association.
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has started reviewing the candidates for hosting the continent’s premier football tournament. In recent years, Central Asian nations have significantly improved their football infrastructure, creating modern facilities and enhancing their international reputation.
The AFC acknowledged that Uzbekistan, along with its neighboring partners, is prepared to host the tournament at a high standard. Stadiums in Tashkent, Namangan, Fergana, and Karshi have been upgraded to meet international criteria.
Additionally, the successful organization of U-20 and U-23 youth tournaments and the Futsal World Cup highlights the region’s capability to host a major football event.
