Kyrgyzstan has introduced a visa-free regime for organized tourist groups from China, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov announced during his meeting with Shen Yueyue, Vice Chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, at the 11th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum. This measure, allowing Chinese tour groups to stay visa-free for up to 21 days, aims to boost tourism and enhance the appeal of Kyrgyzstan for one of the world’s largest tourist markets.

In their discussions, Baisalov and Shen covered a range of bilateral cooperation issues, including trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian relations, as well as collaboration in international organizations. Highlighting the robust strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and China, Baisalov noted the positive development of joint projects across sectors such as infrastructure, energy, industry, and education. He cited the recent launch of the “Lu Ban Workshop” at the I. Razzakov Kyrgyz Technical University as a prime example of productive cooperation.

Additionally, Baisalov met with Li Yifei, Secretary of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Party Committee, to discuss regional cooperation and specific projects. On behalf of the Kyrgyz Cabinet, he invited Secretary Li to visit Kyrgyzstan, reinforcing ties between Bishkek and Yinchuan and between the Chui region and Ningxia.
