The global order is undergoing profound changes. As the old international system falters under the weight of conflict and instability, countries like Kyrgyzstan are stepping forward to shape a new, more equitable and secure world. Under the leadership of President Sadyr Japarov, the country has adopted a dynamic foreign policy aimed at safeguarding national interests while contributing to regional peace and cooperation.
Kyrgyzstan has significantly increased its diplomatic presence on the international stage through high-level summits, strategic bilateral engagements, and regional initiatives. With the completion of border delimitation in Central Asia, the region has moved toward the shared vision of becoming a zone of eternal peace — a milestone requiring both political will and historical reconciliation.
In 2025, Kyrgyzstan assumes the chairmanship of the CSTO and will take over leadership of the SCO from China. These roles highlight its strategic importance in areas such as cybersecurity, economic integration, and regional stability. Notable initiatives include planning a Eurasian cybersecurity conference and large-scale infrastructure projects like the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway and the Kambar-Ata-1 hydroelectric plant.
Political expert Esen Usubaliev emphasized that Kyrgyzstan has become a proactive force in Eurasian diplomacy. From peace advocacy in conflict zones like Palestine and South Asia to contributing to UN reform, Bishkek is actively shaping global discourse. Its pragmatic foreign policy, grounded in results-oriented partnerships, sets it apart in a shifting multipolar world.
The upcoming SCO presidency and CSTO summit in Bishkek are expected to be pivotal moments — not just for regional actors, but for the entire Eurasian continent — as they define new standards for cooperation based on equality, mutual trust, and indivisible security.
