During the 81st meeting of the CIS Railway Transport Council, Kyrgyz Temir Zholu Chairman Azamat Sakiev and Uzbek Temir Yullari Chairman Zufar Narzullaev met to discuss increased collaboration. According to Uzbek Railways, discussions centered around enhancing cargo transport, offering tariff discounts, and using Temiryulkargo’s freight wagons to transport essential goods such as coal and cement. They also reviewed maintenance for weight management facilities.

The parties agreed to launch a tourist train route between Tashkent and Rybachye in summer 2025, which will strengthen tourism links between the two countries.

Further, they discussed the training of Kyrgyz railway employees at the educational centers of Uzbek Temir Yullari and agreed to develop specific training programs.

Azamat Sakiev also congratulated Zufar Narzullaev and the employees of Uzbek Temir Yullari on the company’s 30th anniversary.
