On December 11, Kyrgyzstan and Russia conducted interagency consultations in Moscow focusing on countering new challenges and threats. The Kyrgyz delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Asein Isaev, met with the Russian delegation headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin.
The discussions centered on regional security, particularly regarding the situation in Afghanistan. Both parties exchanged views on combating international terrorism and strengthening collaboration through multilateral frameworks, including the CSTO, CIS, SCO, and UN.
The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to enhance cooperation in security efforts through existing channels of interaction between the two countries’ relevant structures.
