Kyrgyzstan’s Parliament (Jogorku Kenesh) passed a bill to ratify the Financing Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the International Development Association for the second additional financing of the “Sustainable Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project,” signed on April 15, 2024, in Washington. The project aims to build and rehabilitate water supply and sanitation systems in various regions of Kyrgyzstan, ensuring safe drinking water for 11 settlements in Osh region and installing wastewater treatment systems in Issyk-Kul region.

The Parliament also ratified agreements with Slovakia on preventing double taxation and with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development regarding the establishment of offices in Kyrgyzstan.
