In accordance with a decree from the Prime Minister, starting from 2024, the security of the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Mausoleum will be provided by the relevant divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan. This change is expected to lead to significant savings in the security budget allocated for the mausoleum.
In 2023, 8,434,000 Tenge was allocated from the national budget for the security of the mausoleum, but contracts were signed for a total of 10,897,262 Tenge. Of this, 1,897,280 Tenge went to “ӘділетGroupSecurity,” and 8,999,982 Tenge to “Semser Security Agency.”
For 2024, the security budget for the mausoleum is 8,375,232 Tenge, but contracts were signed for 15,363,838 Tenge. “Imperial Security KZ” will receive 5,384,638 Tenge, and “Isker Security Agency” will get 9,979,200 Tenge.
Starting from 2025, funds for security will be redirected to other cultural and historical sites, including the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Museum, the administrative office of the “Әзірет Сұлтан” museum, the 19th-century garrison headquarters, the Gaukhar Ana Mausoleum, and other sites.
This restructuring aims to preserve cultural heritage while making budget savings and establishing a more efficient management model.
