In a ceremony held today, 40 families arriving in Jabrayil with the latest resettlement convoy were handed the keys to their newly rebuilt homes. Upon arrival, the families were greeted and briefed by representatives of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) on the dangers of unexploded ordnance. Residents were advised to avoid unknown objects and to report suspicious findings to the relevant authorities.

The event was attended by officials from the Presidential Special Representative Office in the Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts, the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, and other dignitaries.

Families settled into their new homes, which have been fully equipped to ensure comfortable living in the restored city of Jabrayil, following directives from the Azerbaijani president. Today’s resettlement included a total of 200 individuals.

The returning families, many moved to tears, expressed their joy at reuniting with their homeland. They were warmly welcomed and took time to appreciate the beauty of the rebuilt Jabrayil.

Currently, over 30,000 people live in the Karabakh and East Zangazur regions, including resettled former displaced persons, project workers, and local employees in sectors like healthcare, education, culture, tourism, industry, and energy.
