In Kazakhstan, changes in the prices of key energy resources and precious metals were recorded this week. According to Kazinform, the price of Kazakh oil CPC Blend rose to $72 per barrel after previously dropping to $67. The price increase followed the decision by OPEC+ countries to extend voluntary oil production cuts through the end of December, stabilizing the oil market.
Natural gas prices fell to $2.72 per million British Thermal Units (BTU), while lithium prices dropped to $9.3 per kilogram.
Global coal prices are holding at $144 per ton. In Kazakhstan, coal prices are as follows:
- “Shubarkol Komir” — 16.4 thousand tenge per ton;
- “Karazhyra” — 17.4 thousand tenge per ton;
- “Maykuben-West” — 14.5 thousand tenge per ton.
Uranium prices remain steady at $175 per kilogram. Meanwhile, gold prices saw a decrease to $85.4 per gram.
