The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) has reported that Kazakhstan’s GDP growth reached 4% year-on-year for the period of January to September 2024, an increase from 3.3% in the first half of the year. The growth is attributed to strong performance in the services and trade sectors. According to EDB analysts, this is part of a broader 4.2% increase in GDP across the EDB’s operational region, driven by robust internal demand.

The EDB’s Chief Economist, Evgeny Vinokurov, highlighted that Kazakhstan successfully issued $1.5 billion in 10-year dollar bonds, reflecting strong foreign investor confidence in the nation’s economy. The report also emphasizes Kazakhstan’s strategic importance in developing new logistics routes that link Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, enhancing global trade and supply chain resilience.
