As part of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s state visit, the “Kazakhstan: Treasures of the Great Steppe” exhibition has launched at Paris’s Guimet Museum. Kazakhstan’s Minister of Culture Aida Balayeva emphasized the exhibition’s significance in showcasing Kazakhstan’s cultural heritage spanning 4,000 years, strengthening ties with France, and fostering cultural exchange. The display features artifacts illustrating the evolution of Kazakh nomadic culture from the Hun-Sarmatian period to the Kazakh Khanate.
Guimet Museum Director Yannick Lintz noted that the exhibition presents Kazakhstan’s “five masterpieces” and an immersive multimedia experience, highlighting Kazakhstan’s place in world history. The exhibition, open until March 24, 2025, aims to enhance cultural connections and offers visitors a unique insight into Kazakhstan’s artistic heritage.
On November 4, President Tokayev met with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, with additional meetings planned to further bolster cooperation.
