At the BRICS Summit in Kazan, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highlighted that BRICS’ multilateral efforts will complement the activities of the UN, which he called an “irreplaceable and universal structure.” “There is no doubt that BRICS’ multilateral efforts will harmoniously complement the work of the UN, which remains an indispensable and universal organization,” said Tokayev.

Tokayev also underscored that Kazakhstan supports China’s global security initiative aimed at maintaining international stability, protecting sovereignty, and using peaceful means to resolve conflicts. The summit, held from October 22 to 24 in Kazan, brought together leaders including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
