Kazakh swimmer Lev Cherapanov won the bronze medal at the Asian Championship in Hong Kong, finishing third in the 10-kilometer open water swimming event. The championship will run until November 10, with six athletes representing Kazakhstan in the competition.

Earlier, Kazakhstan’s swimming team also set two national records at the World Cup stage in Singapore. Adelaide Pchelintseva broke the national record in the 100-meter breaststroke, with a time of 01:07.74, while Galymjan Balabek set a new record in the 400-meter freestyle with a time of 03:47.52. Egor Popov reached the final at the European Championships, finishing fifth in the 200-meter backstroke.
