Hungary has offered Kazakhstan its technologies for the construction of a nuclear power plant. Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó stated that his country has extensive experience in nuclear energy and is ready to collaborate with Kazakhstan in this field.
— Kazakhstan has decided to build nuclear power plants. We are ready to offer our technologies and expertise, which could be beneficial for Kazakhstan, — Szijjártó said during a press conference following negotiations with Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu.
The discussions also covered a strategic agreement under which the Hungarian oil and gas company MOL will participate in the development of new oil fields in Kazakhstan.
— Hungarian companies are playing a key role in modernizing Kazakhstan’s agricultural sector. Soon, new enterprises worth $25 million will be launched, — Szijjártó added.
Previously, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the diplomatic academies of both countries, along with an agreement to expand the Hungarian Language and Culture Center at Eurasian National University.
