Miklós Soltész, Hungary’s State Secretary for Religious Affairs, underscored the government’s collaboration with churches in building and renovating schools, churches, and community centers to nurture future generations who respect their homeland and faith. His remarks came during the dedication of the Blessed Eusebius Parish and Community House in Kézdivásárhely, Transylvania, a project made possible through Hungarian governmental support.

Soltész highlighted key historical periods, including the era of Christ and the Apostles, the 12th and 13th centuries, which produced numerous saints, and the trials of the 20th century. He reflected on the resilience of figures like Pope John Paul II and Hungarian bishops Márton Áron and József Mindszenty, emphasizing their examples as guides for today’s youth. “Their legacy helps us guide children on the path most essential to our Christian faith,” he stated.

The new parish and community house, funded with 135 million forints from the Hungarian government and additional local contributions, features offices, community spaces, guest rooms, and living quarters. Archbishop Gergely Kovács of Alba Iulia blessed the building, calling it a place for fostering love and community. Parishioner contributions and local support ensured the realization of this long-awaited project, marking a milestone for the local Catholic community.
