Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán received the Supreme Order of Turkic World, an honorary award presented to distinguished figures who contribute significantly to the unity and cooperation of the Turkic nations. The award was presented during the OTS summit held in Bishkek, where leaders gathered under the theme “Strengthening the Turkic World: Economic Integration, Sustainable Development, Digital Future, and Security for All.”

The summit hosted the heads of state from member countries Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan, as well as leaders from the observer countries, including Turkmenistan and Hungary. Following the official discussions, the organization concluded with the signing of various cooperation agreements, one of which included the decision to bestow Orbán with the Supreme Order.

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who held the rotating presidency of the OTS, reviewed Kazakhstan’s achievements and contributions over the past year, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in achieving the region’s shared goals. The Organization of Turkic States, headquartered in Istanbul, Türkiye, was formed to foster economic, cultural, and political unity among Turkic-speaking countries and to promote stability and development in the region.
