On 28 March 2025, the former President of Croatia, H.E. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, at the OTS Secretariat in Istanbul.

During the meeting, both parties reviewed the current priorities and future activities of the Organization. They also discussed potential areas of cooperation between Croatia and the OTS, highlighting shared values and mutual interest in regional collaboration.

The visit was seen as a positive gesture toward enhancing mutual understanding and exploring new avenues of engagement between Southeast Europe and the Turkic world.
