The “Turkic States Fintech Cooperation Platform” was established at a signing ceremony held at Istanbul Anadolu Hakim Evi under the auspices of the Turkish Presidential Finance Office, led by the Turkish Payments and Electronic Money Institutions Association (TÖDEB). Representatives from fintech associations in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan were in attendance.

Speaking at the event, the Head of the Presidential Finance Office, Göksel Aşan, stressed the need for unity and cooperation among Turkic states in all possible areas. He emphasized that no country can stand alone in today’s world, and the strongest ties are among the Turkic states. Aşan also highlighted the significance of the platform for future collaboration in the fintech sector, predicting that it will grow and develop further over time.

The event was attended by several prominent figures, including TÖDEB Chairman Ufuk Bilgetekin, Azerbaijan Fintech Association President Ruslan Talibov, Uzbekistan Fintech Association President Nargis Dustmatova, ASPO Secretary General Yuliya Salekhova, and Kyrgyzstan E-Commerce Association President Aybek Kurenkeev.

Aşan pointed out that the fintech sectors of the participating countries are at different stages of development, and the more experienced nations will share their knowledge and expertise with others. He also stressed the importance of expanding similar cooperation to other digital fields, including digital technologies, satellite infrastructure, and defense industries, to further strengthen the bonds between Turkic states.

TÖDEB Chairman Ufuk Bilgetekin added that the platform will not only foster collaboration in financial technologies but also enhance the unity and shared spirit of the Turkic world. He expressed optimism about the future, noting that the growing trade volume between Türkiye and countries like Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan will be further boosted by the platform. Bilgetekin highlighted the long-standing historical and cultural ties between the Turkic states, which have laid a solid foundation for economic and technological cooperation.

The signing ceremony was followed by a panel discussion titled “Strengthening the Fintech and Payments Ecosystem and Cooperation Opportunities Among Turkic States.”
