On this special occasion for Turkmenistan’s construction and industrial workers, a new power plant was inaugurated in the Etrek district of the Balkan province. Attendees included members of the Mejlis, regional and district officials, energy sector representatives, and respected community leaders. The ceremony also featured cultural performances, enhancing the festive atmosphere.

Under President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s leadership, Turkmenistan continues to modernize its energy infrastructure. The new “Etrek” power plant, with a capacity of 220 kV and equipped with advanced technology from global manufacturers, exemplifies the country’s commitment to creating a robust and efficient energy system.

Environmental considerations were central in the plant’s construction, with Turkmenistan ensuring that the project aligns with ecological standards. President Berdimuhamedov’s reforms emphasize the use of resource-saving, eco-friendly technologies and high-efficiency equipment. The Ministry of Energy has undertaken essential projects to support this policy, resulting in a reliable energy supply that meets domestic demand and allows for expanded electricity exports.

Attendees expressed their gratitude to President Berdimuhamedov and his predecessor, Hero-Arkadag, for their dedication to Turkmenistan’s energy development. At the ceremony, distinguished workers received gifts on behalf of the President. Additionally, the “Bagyr” power plant, with a 110 kV capacity, was launched in Ashgabat, further demonstrating the progress of Turkmenistan’s energy modernization efforts.

These power plants are tangible examples of the successful development strategy led by President Berdimuhamedov, reinforcing the country’s energy independence and setting a foundation for continued growth in Turkmenistan’s “Era of Revival.”
