Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan welcomed Azerbaijan’s membership in the D-8 (Developing Eight) organization, emphasizing its importance. Speaking in Ankara while commenting on the outcomes of Turkey’s government visit to Cairo, Erdoğan said, “The inclusion of brotherly Azerbaijan in the D-8 has bolstered the organization’s position.”

Erdoğan expressed satisfaction with the “sincere dialogue” developing with Egypt, noting its positive impact on trade and economic relations.

Addressing the situation in Syria, Erdoğan underlined that stability in the country has far-reaching implications for regional security. He also urged Arab nations and the Islamic world to stand in solidarity with the Syrian people and support the country’s reconstruction efforts.
