A new university in Turkmenistan will be established to provide specialized education for entrepreneurs. This university will play a significant role in the development of the national economy, offering education in entrepreneurship and promoting the commercialization of students’ scientific work.
Azat Ataev, Deputy Minister of Education of Turkmenistan, emphasized the importance of implementing an entrepreneurial model in universities to help them commercialize students’ and young scientists’ research. Turkmenistan is actively taking measures to prepare professional personnel in the field of entrepreneurship, including the creation of a new higher educational institution under the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. This project is being implemented by “Nur bina gurluşyk,” which presented a model of the university at the exhibition. Vepa Melebaev, a representative of the company, stated that 50% of the construction work has been completed, with finishing works proceeding according to plan. The new university is expected to open in September next year.
The university will be a multifunctional campus for 2,700 students, with six faculties, a library, conference hall, spacious cafeteria, student dormitories, sports facilities, and parking zones. This new university will be the first in Turkmenistan to offer high-level training in entrepreneurship and business, contributing to the economic development of the country.
