Kyrgyzstan’s delegation, led by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Asein Isayev, attended the 17th Central Asia-Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum in Seoul on November 4. The forum included thematic sessions focused on climate change, supply chain development, digitization, and tourism, with Kyrgyzstan participating in a hybrid format. In his remarks, Isayev emphasized the growing role of the Republic of Korea in high technology and supply chain development for energy resources, rare earth elements, and transport logistics routes.

The forum concluded with a Joint Declaration and a Work Plan for 2025, along with an exhibition on the cultural heritage of Central Asia and Korea. South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol met with the heads of the Central Asian delegations, discussing the “K-Silk Road” initiative and the importance of mutual high-level visits.
